Will airline fares get cheaper as it gets closer to the Spring/Summer?
I have a vaction planned in Panama City, Florida in the 2nd week of June. I already have the hotel booked, but I dont want to drive 14 hrs from Columbus, Ohio to Florida. Right now, Delta and NWA cheapest round trip flights are approx $350. Will fares get cheaper as it gets closer to my vacation date?

Sorry, but Sara is wrong. $350.00 is a VERY good price and it will not go down in cost the closer you get, in fact it will only get more expensive. I looked quickly on fares from Columbus to Panama city and the least "expensive" was $305.00 without any of the taxes. You need to book this ASAP. Please don't be drawn in and fooled by the "last min hype". Things are changing and you will regret it if you wait and might then end up driving depending on the price.

The fares will only go up toward spring and summer because that is the busy season for airlines. A lot of people are doing vacation traveling then, which allows the airlines (I know it's unfair) to hike their prices. $350 for a round trip is an extremely good deal. If I were you, I'd book it right now. The longer you wait, the higher the prices are going to go.

What is a good travel site for finding awesome deals, especially if your travel schedule is flexible?
I am looking for a website that I can go to for deals on flights and hotels when I just want to get away. I know about priceline, hotwire, hotels.com, etc. I'm just wondering if there are any other sites with some really great deals or another way to get great travel deals. I don't even care where I go! I just want to go somewhere! I'm based in Columbus, OH. Thanks!

all the websites "claim" they are the best and can save you the most money but i find it to be all crap!!! sometimes you will be surprised how much cheaper a travel agency can be.

The best site I have used lately is http://www.kayak.com . They saved me hundreds over Expedia or Orbitz. Give them a try.

do plane tickets get cheaper if you wait until last minute
do plane tickets get cheaper if you wait until last minute?
okay so i really need to get home to charleston wv from hilton head sc. 2 days ago i found tickets on us airways from charelston sc to charleston wv for $114 but an hour later they were $433. i really really need to get home eaither today 7/24 or tomorrow 7/25. i can leave from hilton head, charelston sc, or savannah ga, and fly into charleston wv, huntington wv, or with luck columbus oh. and my flight needs to be less than $350. im having a really hard time with this so if anyone could help i would greatly appperciate it. okay i found another flight...but see im with my friends family not my i dont have my credit card but i have cash could my mom buy the ticket online for me or would i can i pay cash?

It depends how late you get them. If they are the day of, it will cost a lot more but if you get them a little later than other people would, it should get cheaper. It also depends which airline you are buying from.
