I am very upset that I was on a flight from Columbus Ohio to Seattle..

I am very upset that I was on a flight from Columbus Ohio to Seattle...?
I took both of my adult children on a flight with me to Seattle Washington. We, the three, sat together. Near the end of the long flight, an attendant shook me crazy heavily (I was in the window seat), mindful that she was surpassing my children....I had my seat belt on, but my seat was in the tilled position. I woke to violent shaking. Why could she not ask my sons to wake me? Or, how about her hitting the 3 inch rise button herself? What is up with airline people these days? We were literally in the last seats of the plane. Did we pose an issue in real terms? NO>>>>> For Goodness sakes. I want to hear from Airline staffers as to why it was so important to cause us much distress in a nanosecond. Just ask my sons to wake me...right? Why does an attendant need to shake me so violently? My adult son's were scared. They said the attendant was very nasty and they didn't know how to react. I have great son's. I trust their judgment.

Stop your rant and take it up with the airline. WE DON'T GIVE A DAMN.
2 :
you should make a complaint to the airline, that is completely unsutable behaviour
3 :
do you know how hard it is to be a flight attendant and the bullshit they have to put up with everyday? i dont think she was doing it that hard or on purpose, if you think that is distress, then your very snobbish.
4 :
You should of got the flight attendants name and complained to the airline. I have noticed that most attendants are pretty nice but there are few crabby ones too. Must be jet lag or something or all the cabin pressure is squeezing their brains.
5 :
lol do you have a question?
6 :
Although it is frustrating to have people disregard the rule of putting the seat upright the question I ask if did she try to wake you verbally? If she did and you still didn't wake up it is important for her to wake you to tell you to put your seat up. She may have had to shake you but not violently. She had no idea these people next to you were your children or even with you. Are you certain that you weren't sleeping so soundly that you were startled by the shake and it appeared worse than it was? If you still feel it was beyond the justification of her action than report this to the airline as it is not alright. I hope someone got the name of the Flight Attendant as it will be difficult to report them without it. This attendant may have been having a really bad day and had a lot of people ignore her and therefore was agitated so you, being at the tale end of the plane just set her off. This is not an excuse and shouldn't be tolerated.

because its more polite to tell u rather than ur children. how does she know they are ur sons? a lot of times families are split up on flights. also if ur sons are quite young, its not polite to talk to little boys so casually as an adult. u know the saying "don't talk to strangers" but, the attendant probably didn't know that they were ur sons. it was a bit rude to shake u violently, but it might have been possible that she called u and even tapped u before hand. there are numerous things that could have happened while u were sleeping. i wouldn't whine about it now that its over, but rather u should have asked the attendant why he or she were shaking u so violently to wake u. i dunno, im trying to look at it logically. oh yeah, even if they had seen u talking to the children, they still would not have known unless u told the attendants urself that the two boys next to u were ur sons...as many passangers strike up conversations with the people next to them whom they dont even know.

Plane health and safety policies are just that; for HEALTH and SAFETY? They're not there to be difficult. Like others have said, she didn't know they were your sons. If you were sitting with strangers that you had had small talk with and a flight attendant asked you to wake them up, would you like that? Plus, you said your children are adults. If they were so shocked and scared at you being woken up, why didn't they just say "We'll wake her"? I get that it prolly wasn't a nice way to be woken up, but is it really worth being so upset over? Grumble, accept that to fly on that plane you have to abide by the rules, and get over it.
9 :
File a complaint with the airline if you feel you were mistreated. Federal air regulations require that your seat be upright and locked for take-off and landing, whether you agree with this or not. There are legitimate safety reasons for the requirement. The flight attendant cannot ask your sons to wake you because she has no way of knowing that they are your sons. Getting you into the correct position for landing is her responsibility, and she cannot defer it to other passengers.

Can I switch seats on my Delta flight

Can I switch seats on my Delta flight?
I purchased a plane ticket a couple weeks ago online. It is a short flight from Columbus, OH to Atlanta, GA. I purchased my ticket through Delta. I was given an aisle seat. I already checked the seat availability, and there are many seats still available. Can I request to be moved to a window seat?
