Because he just can't fly to big fires, oil spills and make surprise visits to Afghanistan and Iraq. He needs to fly everywhere and be seen and heard by the people. If he doesn't then it just shows he doesn't give a rats assss about anything but the "job loss" and the crap Bush got us into. Plus he can't just book a flight on United Airlines even if United donated the airplane for FREE. It wouldn't pass safety inspections of Air Force One. I am not trying to be a dick, I am just being honest with you. I watched a show on Discovery HD about the President and all the Presidents who fly on AIr Force one and all the safety and tracking devices it has on it. Plus United or other airlines can't re-fuel up in the air and like I said the safety of AIr Force one is like flying with GOD himself.

For God sakes, why do Republicans obsess over the cost of a flight? Zillions of flights criss-cross America every moment of the day. It's hardly the horse and buggy days. What's the guy supposed to do, walk to Columbus from DC? And provide a link saying those workers were denied a day's pay because Obama visited.

So if he flies to the Gulf for a day....it's ok...but if he flies anywhere else in the country for a day.....you go nuts?
