any advice on cheapest time to fly?
myself, husband, and two kids will be fling out from columbus ohio round trip to austin texas for christmas. we'd like to go over the weekend near the 25th of course, but i realize it'll be more expensive on the holiday and on the weekend. so any advice on exact days and what airline for the cheapest flights?

Christmas Day is usually a light day for airlines as people should already be at their destinations. See what fares Southwest Airlines has out of Columbus. You may have to connect at Chicago Midway. However right now with airlines all cutting flights, you should buy your tickets as soon as possible. Travel advisers say if you do not book your ticket now, you run the risk of not being able to book a flight.
